How the Fire Started

In 2008, Keith Rabin Jr. along with Maurice Daniel started the shell of a Musical Theatre Organization Called Gravity Defied Theatre. That same year with the help of Will Adams and Rocky Mountain Arts Association, Gravity Defied became a project of RMAA and produced its inaugural production of Bare: The Musical at the Aurora Fox Arts Center in August of 2009.

In 2011, Gravity Defied did just that (Defied Gravity!) and became successful enough to rise up as a standalone performing arts organization! The umbrella organization Lucent Performing Arts was born and Gravity Defied changed its name to become Ignite TheatreIgnite Theatre was in existence for six more seasons at the Aurora Fox before it closed its curtain in January of 2017.

At the dawn of the year 2020, three years since the close of Ignite Theatre, Lucent Performing Arts embarked on a new journey.
